Insurance and costs

Call before your visit

Call (830) 612-2626 for current information about accepted insurance carriers, treatment estimates, and payment details. Carrier participation may change, so confirm the information that applies to your visit.

An exam may be necessary before the office can discuss the cost of a procedure. The condition of the tooth, nearby teeth, gums, bone, and bite can affect recommended care.

Before treatment

Questions that support a clear cost conversation

The right questions can help you decide how and when to proceed.

  • What treatment is recommended, and why?
  • Are there reasonable alternatives?
  • Which charges are expected for the planned visit?
  • Will treatment require more than one appointment?
  • Is follow-up care part of the expected cost?
  • What information should I request from my insurer?
  • When is payment due?

Understand your insurance

Benefits, deductibles, annual limits, waiting periods, frequency limits, and network rules differ by plan. A recommended service is not always covered.

Bring the right details

Have your current plan card and subscriber information ready. Tell the office if coverage has changed since your last visit.

Ask your insurer directly

Confirm network status, remaining deductible and benefits, procedure coverage, replacement limits, preauthorization, and your estimated share.

Treatment decisions

Consider health, timing, and long-term value together

Delaying care can sometimes allow a dental problem to become more difficult to treat, while other findings may simply need monitoring. Ask Dr. Krishna what may happen if you wait and whether treatment can be completed in stages.

Keep sensitive information secure

Do not send payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or detailed health information through an unsecured message.
